Medical camps organised by Sree Shivaji Sphoorti Kendram, Srisailam

Sree Shivaji Sphoorti Kendram is not only a historical and cultural centre; it is also actively engaged in social welfare, including free medical camps for the local community, pilgrims and tribal populations around Srisailam. These camps are held periodically, often in collaboration with NGOs, government health departments and private medical practitioners.

Who the camps serve

  • Local villagers and farmers who lack access to health care
  • Pilgrims visiting the Srisailam Temple, especially elderly devotees
  • Tribal communities — the Chenchus and other forest-dwelling groups
  • Between 500 and 1,000 or more patients per camp, depending on its scale
